From Their Lips to My Kindle: This Girl by Colleen Hoover

You guessed it! Michelle is back, still rocking the comfy shorts and deeply immersed in the world of Colleen Hoover. After the emotional rollercoaster of Hopeless (seriously, that book had me thinking for days), I circled back to where it all began for me: the Slammed series. And let me tell you, This Girl was the perfect dessert after a very satisfying meal!

From Their Lips to My Kindle: This Girl by Colleen Hoover 🎤💖

Okay, so after getting totally caught up in Sky and Holder's story, I realized I hadn't finished Lake and Will's journey! My Kindle app is practically a permanent fixture on my iPad, and I figured it was high time I wrapped up the Slammed series. And oh boy, This Girl was such a treat.

A New Perspective on a Familiar Love Story 🔄

This Girl is unique because it revisits the events of Slammed, but this time, from Will’s point of view. If you read the first two books, you know how much I adored Lake’s narration. But getting into Will’s head? Priceless! It’s not just a rehash; it’s an expansion.

You learn about his struggles, his insecurities, his hopes, and all those moments from Slammed that you thought you knew, but now you see them through his eyes. It's like watching your favorite movie again, but this time, you're hearing the director's commentary and getting all the juicy behind-the-scenes insights.

Why This Book Was the Perfect "Slammed" Encore! 🤯

What I loved about This Girl is that it felt like getting to know an old friend all over again, but on a much deeper level. You understand Will’s actions and motivations so much better, and it just makes their whole love story even richer and more poignant.

It wasn't just rehashing the plot; it was adding layers of emotional complexity that I didn't even realize were missing until I read it. The poetry, of course, is still a central part of their narrative, and seeing his creative process, his thoughts behind the words, just amplified everything.

It's a wonderful way to revisit a beloved story without feeling like you're rereading it. It’s like when you go to a live concert of a band you love, and they play your favorite songs, but with a slightly different arrangement that makes you appreciate them in a whole new way. Pure magic!

Don't Miss This Final "Slam"! 📚✨

If you’ve read Slammed and Point of Retreat, do yourself a massive favor and grab This Girl. It’s not just a bonus; it’s an essential part of Lake and Will’s journey, and it provides such a satisfying closure to their story.

It’s the perfect way to spend a quiet evening, escaping into a love story that's both comforting and deeply moving. Go on, treat your Kindle (and your heart!) to this one. You won't regret it!

Why Ali Hazelwood's "Deep End" Made Me Want to Throw My Kindle... In the Best Way Possible

Why Ali Hazelwood's "Deep End" Made Me Want to Throw My Kindle... In the Best Way Possible 📚💦 Posted by Jenna | Romance Reader & Professional Procrastinator The Setup: NASA Meets Pool Party Gone Wrong 🚀 So, I picked up Deep End thinking I was getting a cute poolside romance. Instead, Ali Hazelwood served me a full-course meal of emotional chaos with a side of "why-am-I-crying-over-fictional-people-again?" Our heroine is basically if Hermione Granger decided to become a competitive swimmer instead of saving wizards. She's got that same "I-must-excel-at-everything-or-I'll-spontaneously-combust" energy that hits a little too close to home for those of us who color-code our grocery lists. The Love Interest: Swoon City Population: Me 💕 The male lead? Chef's kiss He's got that perfect blend of supportive boyfriend material and "I-could-bench-press-a-small-car" vibes.
